This anime is pretty good, I like it. It’s about a guy who is a college drop out with no life or no job, who thinks everything is a conspiracy. His next door neighboor turns out to be an otaku and computer programmer, and the two begin working on making an eroge game (anime 18+ PC dating sim game). The plot also revolves around the protagonist’s relationship with a mysterious young girl who seems to be trying to understand the psychology behind someone like the protagonist.

Otaku is a word I’ve always kind of known of but never known what it was. I’ve recently been watching Genshiken at recommendation by a friend, and I learned to a full extent what the word meant. I definitely fall under that word to some extent; I’ve always loved anime, always loved manga, even loved some Japanese bands like Malice Mizer/Moi Dix Mois, Despairs Ray, Phantasmagoria, and Penicillin, to name a few.
I am currently browsing the listings of anime conventions around my area, as I have for nigh 5 years now, but now this year I have a car ^-^ I am seriously considering going to one this year, maybe with a friend or two. I know only 2 more otakus in the area, but an more in the Demopolis area feel free to talk to me! I am als looking to buy a copy of the Japanese dictionary, the Kōjien. I’d love to make montages of anime to my music one day also! And not to mention my dream, going as Shirou/Archer from Fate/Stay Night, the anime character that out of all anime I know most resembles my true personality; in the past I was a naive fool wishing for peace and making everbody understand each other, and protect others both in real life and online at my own expense, especially in online games; and now, I’ve somewhat changed away from that, having awoken to the real world and the folly of idealistic principles.
