Oh Nooes! 26.03.

Guys… sorry I’ve been gone lately. K.I.N.G., my 320 gigabyte hardrive, just died a few days ago, and damn… I lost all of my stuff… I won’t be able to get online much anymore.

? does the drive got to do with you getting online

Well, indirectly… I don’t have anything to do now that my computer is missing 99.99% of the stuff I normally use. Hell, I had to re-download open office just to do homework.

On an unrelated note, the JxP cd doesn’t work anymore, for some reason the ciadmin.ddl and driver.cab files are missing, and I keep getting damn NTLDR errors on BOTH drives.

I’ll elaborate more on MSN… after I reinstall it.

the ntldr is mostly coused by memory or hard drive failure. The missing file on the xp is caused by memory, hard drive, or cd drive failure.

http://jericosystems.com is open also

I think I have a solution… I need to create a bootable disk; Is it possible to put a MSDOS boot (like a floppy boot-up disk) on a CD? That’s what I need to do, I’m too lazy to buy a new floppy drive (and poor).

I’m looking for iso images, with no luck. Any help appreciated.

honestly the easyest and fastest thing to do is just reinstall windows,

I tried that, it said that the original system folders on the drive would go to an “old OS” folder, and be undeletable; this would only make the problem tenfold, with now (well then) not only two set of OS files I can’t get rid of (xp on my 10 gig HD and vista on the 320) but now 3 (2 vistas and one xp)!

i dont recall them being undeletable….. but they will go into a separate folder. ive did that a few times. your trying to install the os on top of the old one. you need to erase the old one and then install a new one first.

lol I can’t erase the old one! That’s the whole point of me writing this blog lol

I’ve tried shredding in safe mode, MSDOS boot deltree and *.* , everything I can save armageddoning the hard drive by formating, the damn stubborn vistas files simply won’t delete.

Is there a way to delete them without nuking the HD? I sure can’t.

I’ve been looking… can’t find a good floppy boot program… I tried the top 20 on google and all of them have “BANANNA” errors. It’s weird as hell… the standard Microsoft XP format option that says “create boot disk?” doesn’t work either. It has disk read errors until you remove it or reboot.

Does anyone know where I can get a good legit copy of msdos for floppy drive, that will let me edit my other drive’s files? I really need to take that stuff off of my E: drive, K.I.N.G.
