Skeptics and Terrorism

Posted by Cooltrainer Josh in Goverment

In light of recent events I have decided to take a more neutral view on America’s situations. All my life, I’ve questioned things, particularly authority. Now, I realize that to question as much as I do is to be considered skeptical. Perhaps I am more of a skeptic than a revolutionist. I see things happening, and I don’t like them at first, then I begin to realize that it’s simply a view, not a principle of evil made flesh. In particular, yes, the government is increasingly involved in American individuals’ personal lives, but the extreme flipside of that would be a chaotic world of anarchy. I believe that with crime and the economy failing, two situations very palpable in large cities, perhaps government involvement is for the better. Looking at government involvement as a whole, in anything, usually they do a good job with their intentions; whatever they may be, but at only after taking our tax dollars and running with them.Maybe this is what America needs; if not to control the situations more for the good (pass laws prohibiting indulgences in crime and immoral affairs), then for the bad (corrupt, or absolute rule) in order to make Americans wake up and realize that we are being pushed around by a few people.Ultimately, it all goes back to one major principle I’ve hit on before; the trade-offs between government-granted security, and liberty. If you want more of one, it means less of the other. For equality, we must decide how to find equilibrium between the two in my personal opinion. I do enjoy some of the laws and benefits from the government, though it is decidedly pushing too hard in some of the wrong places (privacy, freedom of speech). It is truly up to us. We can argue points all day, but in the end we will always choose what we want; until that ability is taken from us by the government. Thus, I do not take sides yet. I will sit and wait and watch how this thing goes. The battle has just begun for some of us, let’s prepare to engage. No sense jumping to conclusions. We are all rational human beings. I will play the skeptic for now. I am not sure how anything will go, no one can pretend to.

I would like to believe the acts of terrorism such as 9/11 were NOT false flag operations, but in light of recent evidence it is very hard to believe. If the government was behind it, they either definitely were not ready for the consequences of the war in Iraq, or else were; and are simply using it as a way to milk something, or else buy/bide time. We are all humans, and we respond to incentives. What the hidden, true meaning behind the false flag operation is anyone’s guess. But hey, I’m a skeptic. Don’t know if it was false flag or not. No one can point to something and say “this is the hard proof that it was”, but that doesn’t stop me from questioning its authenticity as a foreign terrorist act. To look at that word anyway, since it is thrown around a lot, terrorism is the act of threatening or committing violent crimes in order to bring about desired, otherwise unattainable, results. Perhaps the government really felt it needed to enter the war. Maybe not. Maybe it really was terrorists. But we sure were able to find out the agitators REAL quick AFTER it happened. Just a thought.

Edit: the format I write with never comes out correctly on this site -_-
